The Bookshelf

Okay, so secret, crazy confession time: when I was a little kid, I used to pretend that I was a librarian.  (I also pretended  to be a teacher, a writer, and a famous artist.) All of my books were alphabetically organized, and they even had little library cards in the back that I’d force my little brother to fill out on the very rare occasion that he might want to read one of my books.

While I no longer have little library cards in my books, nor are they arranged alphabetically by author, my bookshelves are overflowing.  Both of my children have expansive collections as well– boy has two full bookcases and girl is working on her third shelf.  This isn’t even to mention the giant tote bag next to our front door that is overflowing with the latest bi-weekly picks from the local county library.

With all that, and my natural proclivity for sharing what I love– be it food, photography, or books– it only feels right to create this page.
